Maersk Oil and Gas is looking for a Senior Economist responsible for analyzing all Maersk Oil investments, including exploration, development and M&A as part of a well-established team. In addition the team is often partners in a variety of more strategic analyses. All assignments are carried out in an international environment together with geologists, engineers, lawyers and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities
You will be part of a global team of economists responsible for:
Evaluation of acquisitions and divestments
Analysis and processing of investment proposals to management/Board
Setting up new fiscal models for accessing country entries based on information available at that time
Evaluation of M&A opportunities, contracts and their economic and commercial impact
Development of methods and systems to facilitate analysis of complex investment scenarios
Setting global screening parameters for investments
The job requires that you will be able to focus on details whilst maintaining an overview and that you are able to communicate findings and results to management in an efficient way.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements for the Position are
Master’s Degree in Economics or Engineering with experience from the above listed key responsibility areas.
Minimum of 5 years’ Experience in Petroleum Economics
Expert knowledge of economic and commercial oil/gas issues
Understanding of legal matters
Ability to quickly dapt to new situations
Team oriented working style
Excellent MS Office knowledge (especially Excel)
Familiarity with Petroleum Economic evaluation Software is an advantage
Excellent spoken and written English
Prepared to travel on short notice
